Summary:

  • To avoid costly and time wasting disputes with staff, you need to ensure that the HR documentation you use, for example your contracts and policies, is legally compliant and up-to-date.
  • Incorrect or inadequate documentation may mean you lose any case brought against you.
  • Once you have the right policies and processes you need to make sure you follow them accurately. Not following a statutory process will normally result in you losing a case!
